Riziki works predominantly in Nairobi and primarily in the Kibera slum. Its objectives include the promotion of education and the giving of relief to children in the form of food, medical help and clothing. Riziki is a Kenyan organisation with an existing structure in Nairobi able to identify poverty and provide support where it is most needed in an effective and financially efficient manner.
The team at Riziki work from an office adjacent to the slum. They visit the Kibera daily and keep close links with the sponsored children - maintaining records and dealing with the children's' needs as they arise. All of the team are involved in the feeding programmes run by Riziki. Riziki is supported by volunteer caregivers from within the Kibera who assist with the preparation of food. KIN finances some of the administration costs of Riziki which are kept to a minimum. From the left :- Pharis, Nicholas, martin, Ann, Ken and Mary. Charity Registration No 1117658 |
