Swaleh

Swaleh Bashir is 4 years old and goes to nursery school.
He is a son to Saumu Adams who gave birth to him while in her teens at secondary school. She had to drop then and because of lack of money she delivered at home. The father to the child who was also a student absconded responsibility.
Saumu had no choice but seek the help of her mother , who is forty-nine years old and therefore grandmother to Bashir and guardian as well.
Bashir is young but has already experienced the difficulties of up bringing; his mother abandoned him at an early stage; 2 years after birth it was discovered that he had a growth in his nosefor which he underwent operation for the growth to be removed; has missed out on school on several occasions as the grandma is not in a position to pay consistently. She pays bit by bit as money from business comes in.
He attends blue bells nursery school for a fee of 900 shillings per term This lump sum is taxing according to her elderly grand mother who supports her.
The grandma Zaitun Adam was born in the year 1957 in Nairobi and did not attend any class. Her health is not the best as she is half way paralyzed on her right hand side. She experiences pain on her legs and arms; looking at her closely you can see her right hand shaking so she supports it with her left hand.
The Swaleh's grandma is a business lady who sells fried potatoes that she uses money to support the grand children.
